Irish rider Sean Greenwood managed to make the skeleton event at the 2014 Winter Olympics look even scarier than usual on Friday.

During Greenwood’s second run of the men’s competition, he lost control as he was flying around a corner while traveling at 75 mph. The crash sent Greenwood airborne while simultaneously turning him sideways, forcing him to lose contact with his sled momentarily.

After sliding down the ice on his back for a scary second, Greenwood miraculously climbed back onto his sled and finished the course like it was no big deal. After two heats, Greenwood is 27th out of 27 riders, but escaping death is certainly worth some sort of medal.
