Jack ParkerHockey East fans will get to watch a bit of history on Saturday, Feb. 15, when Boston University retires the jersey of legendary Terriers coach and former captain Jack Parker.

NESN will broadcast BU’s matchup against the University of New Hampshire as the first of the network’s “flex” games for the season. The game will face off at 7 p.m. at BU’s Agganis Arena, and Parker’s jersey retirement ceremony will be televised between the first and second periods.

Parker was a three-year letterwinner in the class of 1968 and retired last March after 40 years behind the BU bench.

In addition to the previously announced slate of games, “flex” games allow NESN to select a game that carries added significance as the season unfolds. NESN will select other “flex” games for broadcast on Feb. 28 and March 1. Those matchups will be announced on Feb. 15.
