John Lackey: ‘It’s Hard Not To Love Playing On This Ballclub Right Now’ (Video)

Last season was a time for redemption for the entire Boston Red Sox organization, but that notion especially held true for John Lackey.

The right-hander bounced back mightily in 2013 after Tommy John surgery, capping off a magnificent year by tossing 6 2/3 innings in Game 6 to lead the Red Sox to their first World Series at Fenway Park in 95 years. Lackey walked off to a standing ovation from the Fenway Faithful that night, putting all the ugliness of the past behind him.

Now, with that memory fresh in his mind, Lackey can’t wait to get back on the diamond and hopefully recreate the scene in 2014.

Check out the video above to hear more from Lackey down in Fort Myers.
