Liverpool Announces Venues, Opponents For 2014 International Champions Cup

Luis Suarez and Philippe CoutinhoLiverpool will visit at least three of America’s most vibrant cities this summer.

The Reds will play in Chicago, New York City and Charlotte, N.C., as part of their participation in Group B of the Guinness International Champions Cup.

Liverpool’s first game of the tournament will be July 27 at Soldier Field in Chicago against Greek club Olympiacos. That game will kick off at 4 p.m. ET.

The Reds then will face Manchester City at Yankee Stadium on July 30 at 7 p.m. and AC Milan on Aug. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

If Liverpool tops Group B, it will head to Miami for the International Champions Cup final at Sun Life Stadium on Aug 4. Inter Milan, Manchester United, Real Madrid or AS Roma will be the opponent.

Official LFC supporters clubs and LFC official members can buy tickets on pre-sale from now through 10 a.m. Saturday.

Tickets will be available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Please note: Liverpool’s participation in the 2014 International Champions Cup will be dependent on the games not impacting on any potential European qualification games.
