ap-browns-lombardi-football-4_3The New England Patriots aren’t hiding Michael Lombardi.

The former Cleveland Browns general manager was spotted at the airport heading to Indianapolis with the New England Patriots’ front office contingent of Bill Belichick, Nick Caserio and Josh McDaniels on Wednesday. Lombardi was seen by Ben Volin of The Boston Globe, Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald, Field Yates of ESPN.com and NFL Network’s Albert Breer.

Lombardi was rumored last week to have joined the Patriots’ staff in an undisclosed role after being fired by the Browns. Lombardi was the Browns’ general manager for just one season. He previously worked as a consultant for the Patriots while an analyst at NFL Network and also worked with Belichick in the Browns’ front office in the 1990s.
