For the second straight year, University of Michigan students made a fashion statement when the Nebraska Cornhuskers came to the Crisler Center.
The Maize Rage — Michigan’s student section — busted out their cut-up jean shorts in an effort to make their Big 10 rivals “feel at home” as they hosted their annual “Jort Out.” The plaid and short shorts wardrobe has quickly become one of the more amusing traditions in college basketball, and with the results they’ve been seeing, it likely won’t end any time soon.
In last year’s inaugural game with the not-so-trendy look, the Wolverines cruised to a 62-47 victory over the Cornhuskers. The outcome was just as positive in 2014. Michigan is now undefeated when their students flaunt their jorts, as they crushed Nebraska by a score of 79-5o on Wednesday night.
Hey, we didn’t say it was a good fashion statement, but the jorts are clearly working for the 10th-ranked team in the nation.
