Mark Guggenberger: Stopper of pucks, hater of ice-skating horses.

Guggenberger, a goalie for the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League, was recently fined by the CHL for the rare offense of unsportsmanlike conduct on a mascot.

The incident in question took place last Saturday, when the netminder dropped Mac, the Missouri Mavericks mascot, to the ice with a slew-foot as he skated off the ice.

The mascot was OK, but the league was not pleased, reprimanding Guggenberger for his “careless, unnecessary and avoidable” actions and fining him an undisclosed amount.
