8:00 p.m.: We are down to the last award of the night: MVP.
Aaron Rodgers and Joe Montana announce that Peyton Manning is the MVP. The award wasn’t a surprise as Manning threw for 5,477 yards and 55 touchdowns, with a completion percentage of 68.3 percent, during his record-breaking season.
It’s Manning’s fifth MVP award and he becomes the first player to win one with two teams.

7:56 p.m.: Calvin Johnson’s catch in triple coverage — that hasn’t narrowed it down yet — has won the Performance Play of the Year.

7:45 p.m.: Bears cornerback Charles Tillman was named the Walter Payton Man of the Year.
The award honors the player who best combines on-field performance and off-field service.
Tillman beat out Cardinals kicker Jay Feely, and Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis to win the award.
7:35 p.m.: Aaron Rodgers wins the Never Say Never Moment of the Year.
Rodgers’ late touchdown pass to Randall Cobb to lift the Packers over the Bears in Week 17 wins the award.
7:31 p.m.: Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh has won the Salute to Service Award for his work with the military.
7:26 p.m.: San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen is the 2014 Rookie of the Year.
Allen led all NFL rookies with 71 receptions, led the team with 1,046 receiving yards and set a San Diego rookie record with five 100-yard games in a season.
7:21 p.m.: No surprise here, but Peyton Manning is the 2013 Offensive Player of the Year. John Elway has accepted the award on behalf of Manning.
Manning set the NFL single-season records for passing touchdowns and passing yards this season and he’s also the favorite to win the MVP honor, which will be announced later in the night.
7:14 p.m.: The 2014 Hall of Fame class has also just been announced.

7:10 p.m.: Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly is the 2013 Defensive Player of the Year.
Kuechly had two sacks and four interceptions to go along with 93 tackles this season.
7:06 p.m.: The Don Shula High School Coach of the Year Award goes to Eden Prairie’s (Minn.) Mike Grant.
6:59 p.m.: Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera has been named Coach of the Year.
Following a 1-3 start to the season, Riverboat Ron led his team to eight straight wins and they were victorious in 11 of their last 12 regular-season games. The Panthers won the NFC South this season and earned a first-round bye after going 6-10 and 7-9 in Rivera’s two first seasons with the team.
The Panthers just recently signed the head coach to a three-year contract extension through the 2017 season.
6:49 p.m.: The 2013 Comeback Player of the Year is San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.
His bolo tie is deserving of an award by itself, but we’ll save that for the snubs post.
After combining for 35 interceptions in his two previous seasons, Rivers bounced back and led his his team to clinch the sixth seed in the AFC in 2013. Rivers finished the season completing 348 of 544 passes (69.6 percent) for 4,478 yards, 32 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions.
6:43 p.m.: The inaugural Deacon Jones Award, which goes to the league’s sacks leader, belongs to Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl linebacker, Robert Mathis.
6:38 p.m.: The Greatness on the Road award is going to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. Foles wins the award for his performance against Oakland in Week 9 in which he threw seven touchdown passes.
We’d say that’s worthy.
6:35 p.m.: LeSean McCoy is your FedEx Ground Player of the Year.
McCoy beat out Jamaal Charles and Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte for the honor.
Peyton Manning was named the FedEx Air Player of the Year. We might be hearing his name almost as many times as we hear “Omaha” during a Broncos game tonight.
6:32 p.m.: All fantasy football owners would wholeheartedly agree with the last announcement: Jamaal Charles was named the 2013 Fantasy Player of the Year.
Charles led the Kansas City Chiefs in rushing yards, receiving yards and total touchdowns this season. Charles totaled 1,980 yards and 19 touchdowns during the season.
6:25: p.m.: The NFL defensive rookie of the year is Sheldon Richardson.
The New York Jets defensive end was the first defensive tackle to be taken in the last draft. Richardson recorded 77 tackles, 3.5 sacks and one forced fumble on the year.
6:18 p.m.: The first award of the night has been announced.
The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year is Eddie Lacy of the Green Bay Packers.
Lacy set a Green Bay rookie record with 1,178 rush yards during the 2013-14 season. He added 11 touchdowns on the ground, as well.
6:12 p.m.: The Hall of Fame class won’t be officially announced for about another hour, but Derrick Brooks, an 11-time Pro Bowl selection has broken the news on Twitter that he’s in.

Brooks played 14 seasons in the NFL — all with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — and won a Super Bowl with the Bucs in 2003. The linebacker recorded 1,715 tackles, 13.5 sacks and 25 interceptions during his NFL career.
6:00 p.m.: We are just moments away from the first award being announced. For those of you wanting to watch at home, the show will air at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX. Alec Baldwin will host the event.
But if you want to make some money off your friends, we can fill you in on who the winners will be as they’ll be announced starting around 6.
5:00 p.m. ET: Before the Denver Broncos or the Seattle Seahawks go home with the ultimate prize on Sunday, some individual accolades will be handed out on the eve of Super Bowl XLVIII. The 2014 NFL Honors Awards Show will recognize the best of the best from the regular season.
The Associated Press will announce their annual awards tonight, including MVP, Offensive Player of Year, Defensive Player of Year, Coach of Year, Offensive Rookie of Year, and Defensive Rookie of Year. A handful of other awards will also be announced live from Radio City Music Hall and the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s newest class will also be announced tonight.
Peyton Manning is the favorite to be named the MVP as well as the Offensive Player of the Year. If Manning wins the MVP, it’ll be his fifth, which would be two more than any other player. Defensively, the Player of the Year honor will likely go to Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly. Robert Mathis of the Indianapolis Colts and Robert Quinn of the St. Louis Rams could give Kuechly some stiff competition for the award, however.
