Non-Olympic NHL Players Catch Shark, Re-Enact Scene From Titanic (Photos)

With many hockey fans casting their attention to the Olympic contests for the extent of the 2014 Winter Games, NHL players who weren’t selected to represent their respective countries took the time off to relax in a number of different ways — some more bizarre than others.

Four members of the San Jose Sharks took to the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean to catch a real life example of the team’s namesake.

Andrew Desjardins, Joe Thornton, Raffi Torres and Tommy Wingels chartered a deep sea fishing trip, and while they didn’t come back with Jaws, their trip didn’t appear to be a letdown either. Check out the tweet below, which serves as evidence of the teammates’ catch.

Meanwhile, some Montreal Canadiens players looked to re-enact one of the most famous scenes from the movie “Titanic.”

Brandon Prust and George Parros look warm and content in their “Titanic” pose, and luckily for the Canadiens, it doesn’t look like their players are in danger of hitting an iceberg anytime soon.

Look at the two close teammates in the photo below.
