Tuukka Rask, Loui Eriksson Star in Olympic Hockey Quarterfinals (Video)

Sweden and Finland earned their places in the semifinals of the Winter Olympics men’s hockey tournament, and two Boston Bruins stars played a major role in that success.

Finland goaltender Tuukka Rask made 37 saves on 38 shots Wednesday in a remarkable performance against host nation Russia. The Finns emerged victorious 3-1 and have guaranteed themselves a chance to play for a third consecutive Olympic medal.

Sweden dominated Slovenia 5-0 in an impressive offensive display, which included a goal and an assist from veteran winger Loui Eriksson.

In other action, the United States defeated David Krejci and the Czech Republic 5-2, and Patrice Bergeron’s Canadian squad barely beat Latvia 2-1.
