Olympic ‘Parade Of Nations’ Features Some Seriously Colorful Uniforms (Photos)

Todd LodwickThe opening ceremony at the Olympics provides all the competing countries a chance to make their first impression on the national stage.

With much of the competition still days away, athletes shed their traditional sporting gear for uniforms in the “Parade of Nations” procession as part of the Opening Ceremonies.

While some teams look chipper in their formal Olympic gear, other outfits might leave viewers scratching their heads. There’s already been some controversy over whether Germany’s uniforms are a form of protest against Russia’s anti-gay laws.

Team USA’s wardrobe has already raised some eyebrows, but there are a number of other teams that might love to trade uniforms with the Americans.
