American Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy made hearts everywhere flutter when he made plans to adopt some of Sochi’s stray puppies. Kenworthy has even drawn interest from a young celebrity — Miley Cyrus.

Kenworthy had a pretty awesome week last week, winning a silver medal in slopestyle and landing on the cover of a Corn Flakes box with a couple of U.S. skiing teammates. Kenworthy decided to cap the week off by reaching out to his celebrity crush on Twitter, and much to his surprise, she took notice.

A few days later, Kenworthy tweeted that Cyrus had followed him, and he used a solid Miley pun in the process.

Miley apparently appreciates a guy who loves animals, and she tweeted a photo of the skier with four of the adorable pups.

In other Gus Kenworthy news, the skier is committed to bringing the stray Sochi pups with him back to the states, and has even stayed in Russia longer than he had planned in order to get all the paperwork done, according to ABC7 News in Denver.
