Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo might be available after all with the trade deadline looming on Feb. 20, but Danny Ainge’s asking price could be too steep for any teams to bite.

Rondo will reportedly cost NBA teams two unprotected first-round picks,  Sam Smith of Bulls.com is reporting. Grantland’s Zach Lowe echoed that report.

The Celtics have said that they plan to build around Rondo and coupled with the high asking price, it is unlikely that their star will be dealt by Thursday. With seemingly every man on the Celtics roster involved in trade rumors, though, the team is expected to sell more than buy this week, but that plan could reportedly change if the right deal comes along.

League sources told CBSBostonSports.com that Boston’s ownership group would be willing to pay the luxury tax this season if the right deal came along for the Celtics rebuild.
