Thon Maker may only be a sophomore in high school, but he is 7-foot-1 and the No. 1 college basketball prospect in the class of 2016.

Maker was born in Sudan and grew up in Australia before moving to Martinsville, Va., where he currently plays for Carlisle High School. He averages 21.5 points per game, according to Lost Letterman.

“He’s so unique and gifted,” former Wright State University head coach Paul Biancardi said in an interview with ESPN. “He’s a shot-blocker, a rebounder, very mobile and runs the floor extremely well. … He reminds me skill-wise and body-wise of a Kevin Garnett.”

The star 16-year-old center has already received offers from many major universities including Georgetown, Arizona, Memphis, and Virginia. He is definitely somebody to watch out for in the coming years.
