Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart let his emotions get the best of him Saturday night when he fell into the stands and shoved a Texas Tech fan who taunted him after the fall.

The All-American was given a technical foul with six seconds left in the game, and Jeff Orr — the reported fan who had been taunting Smart — admits he said something inflammatory to the guard that set him off. Orr is a huge Texas Tech fan, and he attends many games during the season, according to CBS Sports’ Doug Gottlieb. Gottlieb posted a series of tweets Saturday after the incident, relaying information from Orr.

There has been speculation as to what Orr specifically said to Smart, but Orr contends that it wasn’t a racial slur.

Smart presumably faces further discipline from the Big 12 and the NCAA after the incident.
