The Montreal Canadiens wanted nothing more than to end the Boston Bruins’ 12-game win streak Monday night, and they got their wish with a 2-1 shootout victory at TD Garden.

The bitter rivals set the tone early, with bodies flying, punches thrown and plenty of chatter between the two squads, but Andy Brickley found something to be optimistic about after the loss. Brickley told NESN’s Jamie Erdahl that the B’s continued “to play their identity,” and they showed great discipline amid the general “nastiness” of the game.
