The Chicago Blackhawks earned an impressive 4-0 victory over the Western Conference-leading St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night, but it came at a price.

Star winger and reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner Patrick Kane suffered what appeared to be a leg injury in the second period, and according to Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville, the 25-year-old will be out of the lineup for almost a month.

Kane leads the Blackhawks with 69 points (29 goals, 40 assists) in 69 games.

Luckily for the Blackhawks, top prospect Teuvo Teravainen — who some people call the “Finnish Patrick Kane” — has been cleared to leave Finland and join the team for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs, per TSN’s Bob McKenzie.

With Kane’s injury opening up a spot in the top-six, it’s possible that Teravainen, who has an incredible offensive skill set, could get some ice time on Chicago’s second line over the next few weeks.
