Bruins Honor New England Olympians Who Medaled In Sochi (Video)


The Boston Bruins honored 10 New England Olympians who medaled at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi before Tuesday’s game against the Florida Panthers.

The Olympians, who included, Snowboard Cross bronze medalist Alex Deibold (Manchester, Vt.), Team Figure Skating bronze medalists Marissa Castelli (Cranston, R.I.) and Simon Shnapir (Sudbury, Mass.), Bobsled double-bronze medalist Steve Langton (Melrose, Mass.), and Team USA Women’s Hockey silver medalists Kacey Bellamy (Westfield, Mass.), Alex Carpenter (Boston College), Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.), Michelle Picard (Harvard University), Molly Schaus (Natick, Mass.), and Kelli Stack (Boston College), were introduced at center ice before taking part in the ceremonial puck drop.

The B’s sent five of their own overseas to represent their respective countries, and Patrice Bergeron’s gold medal, Loui Eriksson’s silver and Tuukka Rask’s bronze were on display at the TD Garden during Saturday afternoon’s loss to the Washington Capitals.
