The loss of Dennis Seidenberg to a season-ending injury left a huge void in the Boston Bruins’ defensive corps.
Most notably, the B’s penalty kill, which had been among the best in the league, began to struggle mightily with their veteran defenseman sidelined. But the B’s have begun to adapt to life without Seidenberg, and in the midst of their longest winning streak of the season, they are playing smarter and taking less penalties. In their past five games, the B’s boast an impressive 91.7 percent success rate.
