The Boston Celtics officially announced Friday that they have signed 6-foot-5 guard Chris Babb to a multiyear contract, confirming an earlier report by Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Babb has played six games for the Celtics this season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds. His second 10-day contract with the team expired Thursday.
The Celtics, who defeated the Miami Heat on Wednesday to snap a five-game losing streak, visit the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night.
