Chad Johnson became the first goaltender to shut out the Colorado Avalanche this season when he made 31 saves for the Boston Bruins in their 2-0 victory Friday night in Denver.

The victory also clinched the Bruins’ seventh consecutive playoff berth and put them in a tie with the St. Louis Blues for the best record in the NHL with 101 points.
