leBron JamesThe Miami Heat dropped their seventh game out of the last 11 with a loss Saturday night to the New Orleans Pelicans, and morale in Dade County is pretty low.

“We suck,” Heat center Chris Bosh said after the game, via ESPN.com. “We need to turn it around. There’s no passion. There’s nothing.”

The two-time defending champion Heat lost to a surging Pelicans team led by Anthony Davis, who had 30 points, 11 rebounds and three steals in New Orleans’ 105-95 victory.

Heat superstar LeBron James played through back soreness and ended up twisting his ankle after stepping on Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans’ foot during a drive to the hoop late in the third quarter. James stayed in the game and finished with 25 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.

“It’s too many excuses. Everything is an excuse,” James said. “We do something wrong, it’s an excuse. We don’t get a stop, it’s an excuse. We turn the ball over, it’s an excuse,” James said. “What we’re doing right now ain’t good enough.”

Miami gave guard Dwyane Wade and center Greg Oden the night off after Friday’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
