The Boston Bruins came away with a shootout victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night, in a game that they never led, to earn the season series sweep over the Bolts.
Reilly Smith scored in the seventh round of the shootout to lift the Bruins to a 4-3 win. The B’s might have gotten off to a sluggish start in the first period, but they picked up the intensity and began generating quality scoring chances after the first twenty minutes to claw their way back into the game and eventually come away with the W.
