The new Patriots cornerback said Monday that Tom Brady is the best quarterback he’s ever faced. Brady made similar comments about Revis last season before the Patriots’ Week 3 matchup against the cornerback’s former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Revis said he’s happy the only time he has to face Brady this season is in practice.

“I’m very relieved,” Revis told “Patriots Today” on Monday about not having to face Brady anymore. “I think the feeling is mutual for me and Tom. I feel like he’s the best quarterabck I’ve ever faced. We’ll still compete in practice, but I know on Sundays we’ll be on the same side, wearing the same jersey.”

Brady has completed 34 passes on 58 attempts — a 58.6 percent completion percentage — for 395 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in 11 games against Revis, according to Pro Football Focus.

Revis was on the New York Jets’ side of the Patriots’ AFC East rivalry, but he already feels comfortable in New England.

“I feel like I’m at home. It’s kinda funny, but I do feel at home,” Revis said. “It’s great people here. Mr. Kraft is a great guy, and Coach Belichick — they accepted me with open arms. I’m on the other side, but I’m just trying to soak it all in and just enjoy it.”

Revis visited the Patriots’ facility Monday. He took a tour then met with New England media via a conference call.
