Darrelle Revis Once Called Bill Belichick A ‘Jerk’ On ESPN (Video)

They’ll be wearing the same colors this season, but Darrelle Revis and Bill Belichick had quite the public spat a few years back.

It started when Revis, then with the New York Jets, referred to the New England Patriots head coach as a “jerk” during a 2012 “SportsCenter” appearance with Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski — an accusation that stemmed from some unsavory comments Belichick reportedly made about the Jets’ defense the previous year.

“They told me to sum him up in one word, and I gave my honest opinion,” Revis later told reporters, via ESPN.com. “I feel that people let him slide when he says smart remarks on certain things.”

Hopefully for Patriots fans, these two can bury the hatchet once Revis arrives in Foxboro.

ESPN has replayed the Revis and Gronk interview throughout the week, but if you missed it, here it is below.
