The Boston Red Sox and David Ortiz have agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2015 season with a club/vesting option for 2016 and a club option for 2017, the team announced Sunday night.

Big Papi is here to stay for the next two seasons, at least, and on Monday, Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington and Ortiz made the announcement official down in Fort Myers.
