Michelle BeadleMinnesota high schooler Jack Jablonski was paralyzed from the chest down in 2012 after taking a hard hit into the end boards during a hockey game.

His dream came true Wednesday when his celebrity crush, ESPN personality Michelle Beadle, accepted his live radio proposal to take her to prom.

Jablonski, whose Twitter bio says that he will “prove the doctors wrong,” now co-hosts a weekly radio show called “Hockey Night in Minnesota.” Beadle appeared as a guest on the show for the second time Wednesday.

A few minutes into the interview, Jablonski asked Beadle if she would accompany him to his prom, and she immediately agreed to be his date.

“Seriously, I would love it,” Beadle said. “Can I wear an 80s dress to the prom?”
