Marwin Hitz might want to think about changing his last name.

The FC Augsburg goalkeeper scored a hilarious, yet painful-looking, own goal in his team’s 3-0 defeat against FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday.

In the 38th minute, Mainz’s Maxim Choupo-Moting took a shot, which Hitz saved off off the post. Hitz’s teammate Matthias Ostrzolek got to the loose ball first but smacked his clearance off Hitz’s face. To make matters worse, the ball caromed into the Augsburg goal.

The Bundesliga’s (German first division) website calls it a “knockout” own goal. What better way is there to describe it?
