Sure, Breno Giacomini, the Seattle Seahawks’ starting right tackle in Super Bowl XLVIII, fills a vacancy in the Jets’ lineup, but it wasn’t the breaking news that New York fans wanted.

Instead, they hoped to win the Revis sweepstakes and bring the cornerback back to the Jets, only one year after he was traded to Tampa Bay. Their worst fears were realized, though, when reports began swirling that Revis was headed to Foxboro, but at least they can hang their hats on that Giacomini deal.
