Vancouver Canucks head coach John Tortorella has a frosty relationship with the media, to say the least. On Monday night, though, following maybe the most humbling loss of his career, Tortorella was, well, humble.

Tortorella had just seen his team blow a three-goal lead in the third period, and in the grandest of fashion. The Canucks allowed seven third-period goals to the lowly New York Islanders in an eventual 7-4 loss.

After the game, Tortorella took his lumps when speaking to reporters. He certainly didn’t sugarcoat anything but also was calm while trying to search for answers.
