Johnny Boychuk ‘Could Feel The Energy’ After Disallowed Goal (Video)

Just two minutes after Patrice Bergeron’s stuff attempt to tie the score at 3 was disallowed, Johnny Boychuk made up for the call, ensuring there was no doubt about his third-period goal.

Reilly Smith scored the lone shootout goal in the seventh round to propel the Bruins past the Lightning 4-3, but Boychuk said it was the no-goal call that proved to be the difference for the B’s. After the controversial call, Boychuk could feel the energy in the stadium change as the Bruins were hungry to get that goal back, which Boychuk took care of himself, snapping a 20-game goal drought in the process.
