FORT MYERS, Fla. — Johnny Manziel, who recently chose to be represented by Fenway Sports Management, made a surprise appearance at Boston Red Sox spring training at JetBlue Park on Saturday.

Manziel, perhaps more commonly known as “Johnny Football,” stopped by Fenway South wearing a No. 2 Red Sox jersey. The Texas A&M quarterback and NFL draft prospect, who was accompanied by a decent-sized entourage, watched some situational drills and batting practice during his time at Boston’s spring training complex.

Manziel wasn’t available for comment, but the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner also appeared at the Red Sox’s annual Casino Night at JetBlue Park on Friday.

It’s unclear at this point how shortstop Xander Bogaerts feels about Manziel temporarily stealing his number.

Check out the photos of “Johnny Football” at Red Sox camp below. (The last two photos show Manziel with Alex Wilson, Steven Wright and Jackie Bradley Jr. at Casino Night. The guy in the bright yellow shirt is Red Sox prospect Mookie Betts.)
