Luck. It’s a beautiful thing when you have all of it, as Motaz Salhani proved Saturday.

Salhani, a striker for Al-Wehdat of Jordan’s Pro League (first division), scored one of the most outrageous goals we’ve ever seen in his team’s victory over Al-Ramtha.

The game was scoreless in the second half when a teammate played a pass forward to Salhani. The Syrian striker initially outran it, but he somehow lobbed the Al-Ramtha goalkeeper with a back-heel volley from nearly 40 yards out.

Wind and skill combined to make it happen. Divine intervention could have been involved, too.

Salhani’s spectacular goal won the game for visiting Al-Wehdat, taking his team up to a tie for first place in the standings.

See Salhani’s goal in the video below.
