Leave it to the Internet to play the NFL free agency game better than the Cleveland Browns.
Browns general manager Ray Farmer addressed the media Wednesday about his team’s plans, but he might have inadvertently exposed more information about those plans than he desired. A Reddit user pointed out that a camera shooting Farmer emerging from the Browns’ war room was in perfect position to capture what was on the white board behind closed doors.
The board clearly shows the Browns’ interest in cornerback Darrelle Revis, whom the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just released, and wide receiver Julian Edelman, whom the New England Patriots want to return. It’s unclear what the green brackets around Edelman’s name signify.
UPDATE: A Browns spokesman told ProFootballTalk that the image is not of the team’s free agent board but a list maintained by the team website’s video department.
