Los Angeles Kings forward Jordan Nolan might be getting a call from the NHL Department of Player Safety following an incident Sunday.

Late in the second period against the Edmonton Oilers, a scrum ensued when Edmonton’s Jesse Joensuu knocked defenseman Drew Doughty down to the ice for getting too close to Oilers goaltender, Ben Scrivens. Nolan immediately came to the defense of his teammate and grabbed Joensuu as referees skated over.

But with three refs surrounding the two, Nolan sucker punched the Edmonton winger and continued to pound on him before finally getting pulled off of him. Nolan was dished a double-minor for his swings.
