Every time sleeved jerseys make an appearance in an NBA game, it seems another player steps forward to put them on blast.
LeBron James called the sleeves out for getting in his way after the Miami Heat lost to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Dirk Nowitzki tweeted that they were “awful,” and their continued use remains hotly debated.
The sleeved jerseys, which debuted in the 2013 Christmas Day games, have been brought out again for the NBA’s “Noche Latina” promotion. No matter where fans’ loyalties lie, everyone can admit some of the sleeved alternatives are just downright ugly.
