Let childhood (or more recent) memories be re-kindled; life-size air hockey is now a real thing.
‘AirBlade’ is literally a scaled-up version of the popular arcade game, where air is pumped through holes in the playing surface to reduce friction and imitate the ice of a normal hockey rink.
As of now, there isn’t a full sized ‘AirBlade’ rink, but the company’s CEO Mark Sendo told MLive.com that their trial rink was so popular, “We literally had to pull kids off the rink.”
While ‘AirBlade’ probably won’t be replacing National Hockey League rinks anytime soon, it looks like it could be just as entertaining to play as the arcade original.
Check out a video of the ‘AirBlade’ rink below.
