Peter ChiarelliBoston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli isn’t going to be getting a ton of sleep this week. That’s the way life goes when you’re an NHL GM with the trade deadline rapidly approaching.

The deadline is Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET, and if the past is any indication, Chiarelli is going to be a very busy man. He’s shown the willingness and ability to pull the trigger on a number of trades during his near-decade with the Black and Gold, which means his cell phone(s) better be full of juice in the coming days.

If Chiarelli is able to make a move before Wednesday’s deadline, that will likely be good news for Bruins fans. Chiarelli has had a pretty good track record in his time with the Bruins, as a number of his trades have benefited the B’s in big ways.
