The Red Sox Foundation and HP Hood announced Thursday that they will partner with Massachusetts Little League to support all 200 leagues throughout the Commonwealth.

The partnership celebrates Little League’s 75th anniversary, and will help assist the 200 leagues with uniforms, support of their Massachusetts Little League Division Tournament in Beverly, Mass., from July 24-27 and the Massachusetts Little League Volunteer Coach of the Year award that will be presented at Fenway Park this year.

“We are proud to partner with Massachusetts Little League to support several initiatives to help commemorate their 75th anniversary, and expand on the important work the Red Sox Foundation has begun with Boston’s inner city youth and the RBI baseball and softball program,” Red Sox Foundation board member Mike Egan said, according to a press release. “As a former little leaguer, I know how important playing baseball as a child can be to fostering a lifelong love for the game, and we look forward to helping the league pass along the invaluable lessons about teamwork and camaraderie that the sport imparts.”

The 200 Massachusetts Little Leagues serve 5,628 teams and approximately 67,500 children.
