The Brandon Browner drama from Thursday night continued into Friday morning.

The free-agent cornerback reportedly was scheduled to visit with the Washington Redskins on Friday, but it appears that is no longer the case.

NFL Media’s Albert Breer cites a Redskins source saying Browner is not in Washington, and that the team thinks Browner might sign with the New England Patriots, as was originally reported Thursday.

Browner’s meeting with the Redskins has been canceled, a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, who made the initial report of Browner signing with the Patriots.

UPDATE: Pro Football Talk is reporting Browner’s meeting with the Redskins was not canceled but moved to Friday because the cornerback’s meeting with the Patriots on Thursday lasted longer than anticipated. ESPN’s Adam Schefter also reported this morning that the visit was on.
