Report: Julian Edelman To Earn $6.5 Million With Patriots In 2014

Julian Edelman, LaRon Landry, Antoine BetheaJulian Edelman will get a hefty check from the New England Patriots in 2014.

Edelman’s four-year contract has a maximum value of $19 million, according to ESPN.com. Edelman received a $5 million signing bonus and will earn a base salary of $1 million in 2014, which is guaranteed. Edelman can earn an additional $31,250 for every game he’s active ($500,000 total) and another $500,000 through incentives.

Edelman’s 2014 salary-cap hit will be $2.75 million. His cap number will rise to $4.25 million in 2015, $4.75 million in 2016 and $5.25 million in 2017.

Only Edelman’s signing bonus, his 2014 base salary and $2 million of his $2.25 million base salary in 2015 are guaranteed.
