Free-agent wide receiver Kenny Britt left his New England Patriots visit without a contract, NFL Media’s Albert Breer first reported Monday and a source later confirmed to NESN.com’s Doug Kyed.

The Patriots hosted the Rutgers product, who spent his first five NFL seasons with the Tennessee Titans but has had lots of off-the-field trouble. Even though Britt left the meeting without a contract, he appeared to be feeling good about it, tweeting out a cryptic message afterward.

Britt could be referring to his upcoming visit with the Washington Redskins, though. The St. Louis Rams also are interested, Breer reported.
