Wesley Woodyard said his meeting Wednesday with the New England Patriots “went great.” Apparently, his visit with the Tennessee Titans was even better.

The free-agent linebacker said in a text Friday morning to ESPN’s Josina Anderson that he was “about to sign with the Titans,” the team he visited Thursday. The Titans confirmed the agreement shortly after.

The contract Woodyard and the Titans agreed to is a four-year deal worth $16 million, a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Woodyard recorded 84 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception in 14 games with the Denver Broncos last season.
