Kenny Britt won’t be back in Foxboro anytime soon.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft told the Boston Herald’s Ron Borges on Monday at the NFL Annual Meeting that the team won’t sign Britt. The wide receiver came to Gillette Stadium on a free-agent visit March 17 and left without a contract.
Britt, who has been arrested nine times since the Tennessee Titans made him the 30th overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft, also has received interest from the Buffalo Bills, St. Louis Rams, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins.
Britt’s latest brush with the law came in January 2013, when he drove his brother to a Jersey City, N.J., hospital after being stabbed. Britt was not cooperative with police about the incident.
Rams general manager Les Snead told ProFootballTalk on Tuesday that his team has a “better than 50 percent” chance of signing Britt.
