Veteran goaltenders Ryan Miller and Jaroslav Halak were swapped in a five-player trade between the St. Louis Blues and Buffalo Sabres before the March 5 NHL trade deadline.

After the deal went down, both players needed to design a goalie mask for their new teams. After about two weeks of designing and building, their new masks have been unveiled.

Miller’s mask is amazing. It features blue and yellow primary colors, along with Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page guitars, as well as the famous Gateway Arch in St. Louis.

It’s not as cool as Miller’s ultra-Patriotic mask from the 2014 Winter Olympics, but the new Blues mask is still pretty awesome.

As for Halak, he went with an American-themed design as the goaltender of the Washington Capitals (he was dealt to Washington after the Miller trade). His mask features the Capitol Building and a bald eagle.
