SPHL Goalie Does ‘The Wobble’ In Full Gear During Intermission (Video)

When a goaltender in the Southern Professional Hockey League has time to kill during a game, things can get a little weird — or wobbly.

Columbus Cottonmouths goalie Andrew Loewen played second fiddle to Shannon Szabados last Saturday when she became the first woman to suit up in an SPHL game. During Loewen’s time off the ice, he joined the Cottonmouths’ dance team, in full pads, and did a move called “the wobble.”

Surprisingly, Loewen isn’t half that bad. The fans went nuts at Loewen’s intermission appearance.

Regardless of how the Cottonmouths’ season concludes, Loewen deserves some sort of award for this performance. Now, if only Boston Bruins backup goalie Chad Johnson would learn the macarena or electric slide.
