The second round of the NCAA tournament featured upsets galore, but perhaps the most dramatic of all was No. 12 seed Stephen F. Austin’s stunning victory over VCU.

The fifth-seeded Rams held a four-point lead with less than 10 seconds to play in regulation when Stephen F. Austin’s Desmond Haymon drained a 3-pointer. The bucket should have just cut VCU’s advantage to one, but Haymon was fouled on the play, sending him to the line with a chance to tie the game.

Haymon sank his free throw to force overtime, and the Lumberjacks went on to win 77-75.

Stephen F. Austin was the third No. 12 seed to topple a No. 5 in this year’s tournament, following the lead of Harvard and North Dakota State.
