Steve Smith Uses Twitter To Find Crying Panthers Fan

When word spread that the Carolina Panthers were going to release wide receiver Steve Smith, one father had to break the news to his young son — a Panthers fan — and the boy couldn’t contain his emotions.

The father captured the moment on camera and posted it to YouTube, where the video of Gavin crying about Smith’s departure went viral.

Smith saw the video and used Twitter to try to find the young fan.

Twitter came through in the clutch, and Smith said he plans to meet with Gavin in the near future.

Smith has signed a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
