Toronto Raptors Bringing Back Legendary ‘Purple Dinosaur’ Unis (Video)

Jersey nerds, rejoice.

In conjunction with the team’s 20th anniversary, the Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that they will wear their original, Vince Carter-era, “purple dinosaur” uniforms — the worst and/or best unis in NBA history, depending on who you ask — for select games next season.

From the purple color scheme, to the massively oversized logo, to the weird, jagged pinstripes and the even weirder spiked nameplate, these jerseys are a gold mine of ’90s nostalgia, and certainly more interesting than the red, black and white the Raptors have sported in recent years.

Now, if only the Grizzlies could bring the old Vancouver duds back for a game or two….
