Trevor Bayne led Roush Fenway Racing with a seventh-place in Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 Nationwide Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Rookie driver and Bayne’s Roush Fenway teammate Ryan Reed finished 15th.

“It was a long day,” Reed said. “We battled a super loose race car, especially in traffic. The goal today, after the last couple of weeks, was to keep all the fenders on it and we accomplished that mission. We’re not a 15th-place team and I think that we’ll continually show that throughout the year, but this is race number three and we’ve got a long way to go in this season. We’ll keep plugging away at it. Roush Fenway is building some fast Ford Mustangs and I know we’ll be up there soon.”

Brad Keselowski led a race-high 144 laps and took the checkered flag for the victory. Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott made up the top five.

The next race on the Nationwide Series schedule is the Drive To Stop Diabetes 300, which will take place on Saturday, March 15 in Tennessee.
